Initial condition – The whole structure of the cabinet was loosen. Numerous cracks and tears. Missing veneer and loosen ledges in both lower and upper parts. Surface was damaged by debris and mechanical blows. The clock mechanism including the pendulum completely covered in dirt.

The restoration process – Dismounting of the object. Removal of the loosen veneers. Gluing of the cracks and tears. Cleaning of the base parts and the clock mechanism. Gluing of the structure of the cabinet. Overall replacement of the surface finish by a new one using hand French polishing. Mounting of the cleaned and greased clock mechanism including the pendulum.
