Initial condition – The structure is partly loosen, especially the bottoms of the drawers as well as a part of the profiled ledge and veneering. Missing material on several places including parts of the profiled ledge. The surface finish, the fitting and the lock are significantly damaged by dust, mechanical blows and oxidation. The key is missing.

The restoration process – Overall dismounting of the brass fitting. Loosen structure joints check and regluing. Overall fix of the veneering on the flat surfaces and the edges. Completion of the carved parts on the ledge and other profiles. Application of the new surface finish by hand French polishing. Mounting of the cleaned brass fitting to its original place.
