Initial condition – Majority of the structural joints was loosen. About 60% of the inlays were partly or completely loosen as well. The inlay at the upper part of the table was in very bad condition. The foldable board was deflected. Surface was significantly damaged by debris and multiple secondary repaintings, especially on the back side of the table. Fitting including locks and keys were dirty.

The restoration process – Dismounting of all the fittings. Complete stuctural joints strength revisal. Overall gradual fix of loosen inlaid areas and veneering. Complement of missing or damaged areas with new material. Purge of the object from the damaged surface finish. Application of a new finish by hand polishing. Mounting of cleaned fitting.
